from a new study reveal diets rich in whole grains can lower the risk
of diabetes and heart disease. Those who consume diets high in whole
grains have a lower risk of diabetes and heart disease. Whole grains
are a rich source of fiber, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Whole
grain foods include bran, whole wheat, fruit and vegetables. It should
be noted that higher intake of whole grains was associated with higher
levels of physical activity, greater fruit and vegetable intake, less
smoking and lower consumption of alcohol and saturated and
monounsaturated fats.
